In these terms and conditions Lucy means Lucy Bulbeck - catering and the ‘client’ means person booking the event.

 

DEPOSITS & PAYMENTS

Confirmation of every function by Lucy is by the return of a 10% non- refundable deposit to reserve the agreed date, based on the agreed quote, unless otherwise agreed in writing. This is confirmation of agreement of the terms and conditions by the client.

 

A further 50% of the agreed cost is due no less than one week before the event or party. Should this not be forth coming, Lucy reserves the right to cancel her services without obligation.

 

The final invoice of the remaining 40% together with any extras is payable after the event. The final invoice will be settled within 7 days.

 

PRICING POLICY

The quote is based on a set minimum number of guests. On consultation with the host, should the number of guests increase or decrease significantly, a new quote will be required.

 

Should ingredient and/or other prices increase significantly in the intervening period, beyond our control, Lucy reserves the right to re-price specific elements of the quote.

 

  

 SPECIAL DIETARY OR ALLERGY REQUIREMENTS

Please notify Lucy if there are any food allergies. Every effort will be made to accommodate any special requirements. Lucy reserves the right to refuse to supply a meal where a severe allergic reaction may occur. The client must make every effort to check with any guests of any severe allergens.

An allergy disclaimer must be signed and acknowledged by both the client and Lucy.

Every effort will be made to accommodate food intolerance. If a large number of guests require an alternative menu, a new quotation will be required.

 

PRICING & CHARGING POLICIES

 

  • All prices are based on a set fee for Lucy plus ingredients and any agreed travel unless otherwise stated in the quote.

  • Lucy reserves the right to charge should the furniture need setting up prior to the event.

  • All breakages and losses to hire and any equipment used will be charged for in the final invoice.

  • Lost or damaged table linen will be charged for at the replacement value.

 

NOT INCLUDED IN CHARGES

  • Lucy is not responsible for the removal of bottles

  • Lucy is not responsible for cleaning of premises.

 

CANCELLATION

Normally 4 weeks notice of cancellation is sufficient in writing. The deposit is non-refundable.

 

However, if at the time of cancellation any equipment, services or food have already been ordered from suppliers and cannot be cancelled without cost to us, then customers will be charged the full price. Events cancelled with less than 2 weeks notice will be charged at the following:

 

10-14 days                   50% of the estimated final invoice

5-9 days                       80% of the estimated final invoice

4 days or less             100% of estimated final invoice

 

LOSS OR DAMAGE

  • If our property is willfully or negligently damaged or stolen at a function the replacement cost is payable by the client

  • If the hire is kept at the client’s venue past the set timings of the event, the client is wholly responsible for packing all items back into the cases and cages.

  • Lucy does not accept responsibility for the personal property of clients or guests. Guests personal belongings are left at the owner’s risk and without any obligation on the part of Lucy Bulbeck.

 

STAFFING

Lucy is happy to provide quality front of house staff (waiters, bar or other staff) on the client’s behalf, for a small administrative fee.

Extra catering staff at times will be required. They will be trained chefs and an additional fee.

 

FORCE MAJEURE

Lucy shall be under no liability for any delay or failure to provide services as a result of any act or circumstances beyond her reasonable control, including but not limited to Act of God, legislation, war, fire, drought, failure of power supply, lockout, strike or pandemic restrictions.

 

PAYMENT

All accounts are due for payment within 10 days of date invoice sent, or as shown on invoice.

 

COMPLAINTS

Any complaint shall be made as soon as possible and should be made in writing no more than 7 days after the event.

 

LAW

The laws of England and the jurisdiction of English Courts will apply to any dispute.
